As a specialized slip ring manufacturer and a part of the medical device industry chain, JINPAT has the capability to provide corresponding slip rings for various medical equipment with different functions.
Apart from the ultra-large through-bore disc slip rings developed for CT systems, which exceed 1,200 mm in diameter, the rest of the slip rings fall into the small and medium-sized category. Among these, the capsule series slip rings are the absolute mainstay, with only a few models belonging to the hollow shaft series. Whether capsule or hollow shaft slip rings, most of these products developed for medical equipment are primarily custom models. To meet the stability requirements of medical devices, these slip rings employ gold-gold contacts and have been optimized in certain performance aspects.
In some medical equipment with specialized functions, centrifuges or other high-speed rotation systems may be integrated. The slip rings matched with these components are essentially high-speed products. To address the demands of the medical and other industries, JINPAT has specifically developed the LPC/LPM-YS series of standard capsule slip rings. This series is designed to operate at speeds of up to 2,000 rpm, meeting the needs of the vast majority of medical or other high-end instrumentation equipment on the market.
With technological advancements, various functional robots have also entered the medical field, such as common surgical robots and rehabilitation robots. In addition to these two types, there are also medical inspection robots equipped with endoscopes that incorporate slip rings. Some of these robots feature endoscope lenses designed with a fully dynamic structure capable of 360° rotation for imaging and illumination. The slip rings used in these endoscopes must be JINPAT LPMS ultra-miniature slip rings, which measure 5.5–6.5 mm in diameter.
